A Romantic Escape

Oh boy, does this outfit make me feel like Esmerelda! It obviously doesn't look exactly like her outfit, but I my top and flowing maxi skirt resemble her outfit, and the accentuating banding around the waist of this skirt really gives it some extra detailing! I am just a big Disney geek so deep down I feel so good about my outfit resembling that of such a fabulous Disney character! Haha!

This white off-the-shoulder from Target has just become one of my favorite pieces in my closet lately, because I just keep finding more and more ways to wear it! I know, I know, I've already verbally expressed my obsession with this top in a previous post, but that's just how much I love it, I can't stop talking about it! Today, I paired it with my new maxi skirt from Kersh, which I'm absolutely crazy about as well! What's so great about this skirt is that it can also be a maxi dress, which you can see on this Instagram pic when I wore it to Disney a few weeks ago. It's all around a very beautiful skirt and very flattering as well.

With this outfit, I wore my brown lace-up sandals again, because they (yet again) looked perfect with my outfit! I wore all gold jewelry and used this opportunity to wear my amazing gold Dolce & Gabbana glasses that I've been wanting ever since they came out. Also, I love this location here for my photos and I want to shoot here more, but I don't think the beautiful pink tree over the water will remain that way for long, but fingers crossed it stays beautiful and pink all summer, because this small location is perfectly detailed in a way that doesn't make me feel like I'm in Jacksonville, and that's a good feeling!

Florals + Fringe

My trusty fringe bag and lace-up sandals have been my main go-to items lately as I have been enjoying the more comfortable bohemian look. I really loved them with this beautiful floral dress from Alice's Pig... it's such a great 70s style dress and the Victorian sleeve detailing is just amazing.

I also want to keep it short because I'm insanely tired right now, but I want to apologize for going from setting my little goal of posting about 20 times last month to now only posting 3 times so far this month. I'm getting used to a new schedule for school and a new job, so it's been a stressful few weeks so far and will continue to be through next month as well. I'll make sure to post all of the outfits I've photographed for this month, but I can't promise any type of unique posts. I hate it so badly when I have to put my blog on the back burner because this is truly whats most important in my mind, but unfortunately the world has other things for me to do as well. Hope you enjoy this outfit and the upcoming outfits, though! I will say they are some favorites of mine! :)

Classic Styles -- Modern Cuts

I've been staying away from too many prints and colors and keeping it simple lately. I think this looks so much better and it's a reflection of how my style is evolving. I'm focusing more on the clothes themselves to stand out rather than the prints and colors on the clothes, and it's overall a more mature style for the more mature person I can feel myself becoming.

Talking on the outfit, I just absolutely adore this pairing and just sitting on those steps to take those photos, I got endless compliments from people just passing by. This off-the-shoulder top from Target is the type of style I've been looking for lately, and I'm so glad I held off for a while and purchased this specific top. It looks amazing with just about everything, and it can be dressed up or down. Here I dressed it up with my Little Mistress floral skirt which is flirty and fun but still keeps a sophisticated look.

While I'm still speaking on my look, I also have to give some praise to Irresistible Me and their lovely hair extensions! I'm usually not the kind of girl to spend more than 30 minutes on my hair and makeup, but lately I've been experimenting a bit more and spending a bit more time in front of the mirror every morning. It may not look like it from my photos but I have rather thin hair, so I thought it would be great to try out some extensions. I was nervous about them looking obviously fake or that they would fall out or that my tracks would show since my hair is so thin, but these extensions from Irresistible Me have been absolutely perfect in every way! They match my hair color perfectly, they look natural, and most importantly, they make me feel a lot better about my thin hair. It is important to me to feel good about myself, and while I wouldn't go do anything extreme to change my appearance, it's fun to play around a bit with new things such as these extensions.
